Metro Realizations

So I keep my journal with me at all times, I never know when or where I will see someone/something that inspires me, some restaurant I want to check out, a store I want to visit again etc.  Well to get to all these amazing places I have to take the lovely metro.  Most rides can very from about 10-30 minutes depending where I am going and if it is not packed it is a place that simply lets you sit and think for a brief period of time only worried about your next stopping point... so needless to say often your mind wonders.  and sometimes this leads to clarity or realizations that need to be written down in my lovely beaten up moleskin journal.

Today:

"Trust is a funny thing.  Call me nieve or childish, but I trust everyone until they give me a reason not to.  It could seem a method with great potential to bite me in the ass, but I think it's healthier for the mind and heart.  If you have your guard up all the time so much energy is wasted, so much opportunity to simply "be" is lost.  In the end I could get hurt yes, but at least I know that I am still a better person for having faith in the individual, than the individual who gave me reason to begin to question."
